Aside from the occasional Western sheriff and Marshal, there were other various law enforcement agency throughout the American frontier, such as the Texas Rangers and the North-West Mounted Police. These lawmen are not just instrumental in keeping peace, but also in protecting the locals from Indian and Mexican threats in the border.
